HOW TO WARM UP.

controlled physical exercises are good.when moderately  performed, the physical exercises provide lightness in the body, physical activity, steadiness and fortitude.muscular activity is most essential to increase physical and biological  strength.every individual of either sex of all age groups should do the exercise every day according to his age and constitution ( PRAKTRI) PHYSICAL EXERCISE INCREASES APPETITE, IMPROVES DIGESTION AND REMOVES LAZINESS.it increases tolerance for hunger, thirst, heat, cold etc. a man doing daily excercise keeps himself free from disease. his digestion is good. he sleeps well and active in his work. QUANTITY OF PHYSICAL EXERCISE ---------old man should perform light exercise  every day in the morning. he shouldnot do heavy exercise in order to avoid its harmful effects on the body. women should also do the execise keeping their constitution (PRAKRATI) in view. KAPHAJA type of persons may do heavy excercise as this is useful for them specially in winter and autumn seasons. PAITTIKA persons should do the moderate excercise but such people should avoid exercise in mid of the day  and in hot season according to CHARAKA a man should not do the physical exercise after COITUS,AFTER TAKING HEAVY MEALS AND IN FEBRILE CONDITIONS. according to SUSRUTA in RAKTAPITTA(BLEEDING -DISORDERS), heart disease, and asthma, vertigo and tuberculosis. the excessive physical exercise produces loss of body weight, thirst, vertigo, laziness, fever and respiratory troubles. A BEAUTIFUL SIMILE FOR EXCESSIVE EXERCISE IS   ---- A PERSON WHO DOES EXCESSIVE EXERCISE LEADS TO THE  DEATH LIKE IF A LOIN PULLS THE ELEPHANTS TOWARDS HIM  MEETS THE DEATH, AND AT LAST WHAT IS THE QUANTITY OF EXERCISE IS IF HE OR SHE FEELS SWEATING IN THE AXILLARY SO DO THE HALF OF THE EXERCISE HE OR SHE DID.these all views based on priciples of AYURVED.
